Fuel pump not working

Started cutting out and would shut off, would not start back up. Let it sit for couple hours started and ran for a week then cut out again in town. Now will not start and fuel pump is not working. Checked fuses and swapped relays around. What should I try next? I do not feel it is the pump itself.

I have dealt with many in-tank fuel pump problems and this sounds like one. I would suggest performing a fuel system pressure test. Many auto part stores have tool loaner programs(AutoZone,Pep Boys, O'Reilly's) to rent you a tester. With the key on engine running pressure should be 28-45 PSI and key on engine off should be 35-45 PSI. You can find a Schrader valve on the fuel rail to attach the pressure tester. Symptoms match perfectly with a failing fuel pump. It’s right at the mileage when they fail, see them all the time at my dealership. But by all means do your tests.
