Old fuel pump had three electrical hook ups the new one has only two. Is it okay to hook up just the two or is there something else that I need? The truck is a diesel.

Hello,

Honestly, there should be two. Is it possible that the connector only has two wires going to a three-prong plug? Take a look at the attached picture. Also, picture 2 shows the wiring to the pump. There are only two. You should see a pink/black wire and a black wire going to the pump. If you have a 3rd wire, let me know the color of it. Also, if you could upload a picture for me to see the connector, it may help.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,
Joe
