found where pump assembly should be but all I found was the float.

Here is a tutorial for you to view on how to replace an in-tank electric fuel pump:

You will need to remove the fuel tank to gain access to the fuel pump. I've attached picture steps below on how to remove and replace both the fuel tank and fuel pump on your car. hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
