Replaced Fuel Pump. Still not cranking. It's acting like it wants to but doesn't. It's getting fuel and fuses are good as well.

Hi,

In most cases, a crank no start is either caused by a fuel issue or ignition spark to the spark plugs.

Do me a favor. See if it will start using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know its fuel related. That doesn't mean the pump isn't working.

If there is absolutely no change with the starting fluid, then I need you to check for spark at the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Also, you may want to consider checking for diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system. It doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes. All you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip. Follow the directions in this link and let me know if you find codes and what they are:

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Still nothing. I have since then replaced the ignition module as well. Another question is where my main fuse block I see where the small fuse box is but no relays.

Hi Crystal,

Did you try the tests I suggested above so we can determine if it is an ignition or fuel-related issue? Also, have you tried to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes? If so, let me know what has been found.

As far as a relay, I suspect you are looking for the fuel pump relay. On this model year, it is mounted on the firewall under the hood. If you look at the pic below, I circled it for you.

Let me know what has been done at this point.
