Fuel pressure regulator

I am getting a code po172, running rich. I smell the fuel when starting. Open loop, checked fuel pressure and it is loosing pressure at a few pounds per minute. I am thinking that it is the fuel pressure regulator, but can not find it . Help.

The pressure regulator is part of the fuel pump assembly.

what is the actual fuel pressure?

Also, check your air filter and also, a bad purge valve for the evap system will cause this rich condition.

does it have any codes set?
