Started out on my way home and it spit and sputtered like it was running out of fuel, so I kept going on a prayer. Got home then shut it off waited two hours until it was completely cold. It would not start so I filled the fuel filter full of diesel then after five to ten seconds of cranking it starts. So I check the water drain T valve I crank it open and all I get out of the hose is a drop here and there no steady stream. Help?

Good morning.

You have a fuel pump or lift pump that is on the frame rail. It provides fuel from the tank to the injector pump. When this fails, there is not enough fuel for the truck to run.
