I checked all of the engine wiring diagrams and Ford doesn't use the inertia switch in this model. What problem are you having?

Was driving and engine cut off hasn't started since. then as a side note I had just put gas in from a gas can with aftermarket funnel.

That might do it if the fuel was old/contaminated. I would try starting fluid and if that changes nothing let's check for spark.
