fuel gauge reads empty when has 1/2 tank and flasing head light and turnsignals

I'm assuming there is more than a 1/4 tank in it. check for a shorted wire or bad sending unit then scan for codes for other problems

This can happens when the fuel pump module goes out, also I would check the electrical connector at the fuel pump module as well, check for signs of burnt marks or a bad connection. Here are the instructions and location of the fuel pump module and how to change it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
