Fuel gauge/engine light on

Car fuel gauge at times moves up and down. Car low fuel warning comes on when it reaches half a tank of gas. MPG is now bad.

We need to start with checking for codes because I am not sure the gauge issue and poor fuel economy are related. However, I suspect the poor fuel economy and check engine light are related.

Let me know what codes you find and we can go from there.
