Fuel gauge not working properly

The fuel gauge sometimes drops or does not read correctly and the car seems to use more gas than normal, but the miles to empty display seems to read correctly.

Hello,

The fact that the miles to empty is correct shows us the float is reading properly. This mean the cluster is probably bad which is common. Here is a video of a cluster replacement on a similar car with diagrams below to show you how on your car:

You will need to note the cars mileage and the VIN so the re-builder can reprogram the new unit for you. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
