Fuel gauge not working

Fuel gauge not working right when full it reads empty with low fuel light on. then once driving half an hour and shut off then re started fuel gauge will read half or three quarters full and will stay there.

you will have to have a mechanic scan for codes and see if something wrong with fuel pump module first. it is probably not the gauge.

Just had a new one put on as well as a fuel pump.

then take it back and tell them what is wrong something is messed up and it has to be scanned for codes to identify the problem. it can be a poor connection sender bad anything.
