Fuel filter replacement

In this vehicle can you remove just the fuel filter or do you have to remove the whole fuel pump? So I guess is the fuel filter one single module with the pump or can they be dismounted from each other?

I attached the process. This is an integrated filter so you need to access the top of the tank and replace the regulator and filter assembly.
