Fuel filter location?

I'm trying to locate the fuel filter that's usually underneath the car. I looked, but didn't see it on either side. Here's a picture of what it looks like on the drivers side and also what the part looks like. Thanks

There are two filters in that vehicle. There is one in the tank as part of the fuel pump and there is one behind the left side underbody shielding attached to the frame. The outer one is changed by removing the underbody panel then disconnecting the lines and the filter, then you replace it and put it back together. If you are having an issue it likely isn't the outer filter though, it gets fuel that has already been through the in tank filter.
