I have looked all over online and have yet to find a solution or similar case. One day the truck would not start, the next day it did, then a few days later it shut off while driving, the pump would not work and it appeared not to be getting any gas. Took it in and had codes run with nothing popping up, though it does have a check engine light. Today it shut off on the way home, same thing with the fuel just cutting out, then a few minute later started back up and rain fine for about a half hour, it shut off while at home, sitting in idle. As I was walking back out to get my bag I heard what sounded like the fuel pump starting up again (whining from under the bed of the truck) and sure enough it started again.

Good afternoon.

When it quits running, does it have spark? Remove a spark plug wire and test for spark.

The ASD relay in the fuse block controls both and if it fails you will lose both fuel and spark.

If you do have spark, then verify voltage to the fuel pump. If there is voltage, then you need a fuel pump.
