My Duster needs a front wheel bearing replacing. The dimensions of a bearing are OD80 mm- ID42 mm- WIDTH39 mm.
my local auto spares only have -WIDTH38mm.
will one mm make a big difference? Can I use a 38mm?

No you need the correct bearing. The narrower one will be loose in the bore and will not pre-load properly when tightened down.

The correct bearing is a MAPCO- 26151 or A.B.S.- 201402 or SKF- VKBA 6682 or FEBI BILSTEIN- 33988

This place claims to have them.
