Hearing a tick tick noise when I turn my steering wheel inward. I was told it was my ABS cord or something like that.
Is this a DIY job?

It depends on exactly what is making the noise. Ticking probably is not the ABS sensor wiring or the sensor itself. Ticking is usually one of the CV joints in the axles, a wheel bearing, cracked rotor or loose brake components. Without knowing exactly what the issue is it would be very hard to say, Yes you can do it.
I would say to take it to a shop you trust and have them look it over and see what they say the issue is. Then think about what you have for tools and skills relating to that problem.
