There is a cracking sound in the front of car when turning?

Every time I go to turn the car, it’s a cracking sound with each turn, whether it’s left or right… it’s been in a collision. Any idea what the sound may be?

Where was the vehicle hit? How bad was the damage? Is it possible for you to record the sound and upload it for me to hear? Also, can you tell if it is one side or both?
