No the weight should be off the ball joint when tightening.
As you can see by the diagram below you have replaced pretty much everything. As odd as it sounds, have them check your motor mounts as well... if the engine moves around when you are off and on the gas it changes the cv joint geometry and will cause vibrations and shuddering as well as the engine making noise as it moves forward and back
