front end clunking

I know the sway bar links are common to mustangs, chargers, challengers, but when moving these by hand am not seeing major movement, how would you confirm or test these? I say in the notes from the auction that it may need sway bar links and a ball joint, and I saw the cap off of the greasing point on the sway bar, so maybe they tried greasing it and it didn't work
