Welcome to 2CarPros.

I hate to say it, but you need to remove the inside door panels to see what has happened. I suspect the linkage that actuates the latch assembly is disconnected or something has broken.

The problem is removing the panel is ten times harder with the door closed. It's possible to do, but very tight to work on.

I attached a pic of the panel. It shows where the retainer clips are located. See Pic 1.

Pictures 2 and 3 show how to replace the outside handle.

Pictures 4 and 5 show replacement of the inside handle.

I am adding those directions because I don't know exactly what has happened yet. Once you get the panel off, let me know what you find so I can help pinpoint what needs done.

Take care,
Joe

The next day the driver side door opened. So I sprayed wd40 on everything that I thought could use some lubrication it's been working ever since. Thanks Joe

Welcome back:

You are very welcome. Door hinges and latches are usually ignored when it comes to maintenance. Hopefully, that was all it needed. However, if anything changes, let me know.

Take care,
Joe
