Blower works for a while then shuts off and will not come on for several hours.

it may be bushings going bad in blower and binding or a poor connection. when it stops put twelve volts to it if it starts back up then it is something in your auto temperature control causing this and must be scanned for codes to see what the problem is.

I checked the wiring and when the fan is running the wires are getting warm. These are between the resister and the blower.

if you can check the amps then try to do that the motor may be going bad, but have this scanned for codes by a mechanic as there is a TSB on this but not sure dealer will fix it due to age. and the control module goes bad.
