fried starter

Starter just fried out from the inside on my vehicle. It was doing this weird hesitation starting thing mostly in the morning every day for a few weeks. One day in between it was completely fine. What would cause the starter to fry out like that?? like it was being overworked or something.

Good morning,

This could be due to a bad battery, dirty battery cables or loose connections.

I would load test the battery first and clean the cables.

At this point, I would replace the starter motor.
