Fuel pump control module swap?

Can i replace my FPCM with one from a junk yard ik will have to get it programmed but are the interchangeable.

It says not to unless directed by GM, but here are the instructions on how to replace it and the location of the fuel pump module in the images and text below. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
