Good evening,

You would need an advanced scan tool, access to the GM web site to download the software to upload to the module.

It would be cheaper to let someone do it for you.

There's no need to reprogram the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM). Generally, reprogramming is for a Powertrain Control Module, Engine Control Module, Transmission Control Module, or Body Control Module. As long as you get the exact same TCCM, there should be no need to do any programming. If, for some crazy reason it does need to be reprogrammed, then you'd have to take it to the dealership to get it done, as they're the only ones that'll have the computer and software to do the job.

And I'm attaching the information on how to replace it too.

You told me that when I disconnected my battery that the 4x4 unit was no longer good. Now if I go to a junkyard and get a used one will they be no good also because they disconnected the battery?

Who told you that? It wasn't me. Disconnecting the battery will not ruin a TCCM. A strong power surge would, but not a sudden loss of power. Also, one from a junkyard should be fine, as long as the unit was good when it got to the junkyard. I would suggest only buying from a place that'll give you some sort of guarantee/warranty. Most of the eBay junkyards have such a system, as well as the ones listing their stuff on car-part. Com. Good luck and keep us posted!
