Power window drivers side works intermitently

My power window on the drives side works intermitently. When the switch is depressed, there is a clicking noise, but the window does not move.

Info thats nice to have...What kind of car? Mileage? Year? Becasue with age comes certain things that cannot be ruled out anymore!
But you most likly have a frayed or broken wire were the pass from the door into the car, untape them and look for breaks...OH YEA if I new the car I was talkin about I could even tell you what color the wires you want are!!!
