I was driving my car normally and stopped at a red light. When the light turned green I stepped on the gas and heard a popping noise and my car stopped moving. I shifted to all gears, shut it off, turned it on back again and put it in drive and it still did not move. I never noticed any shifting problems with my car so I was confused as to why it just stopped working. The car can shift into any gear but it won't do anything. Could it be the transmission or should I check something else?

Have you checke to make surehe axles are still connected to the CV joints? If you place the vehicle in park, does the transmission hold you or will it coast?
