2003 Ford Windstar No Heat

My heater is not working, I smell no anti-freeze and the engine is not running hot, My question is should I be looking at the heater coil or a noew thermostat.

Check the heater core if its clogged-up and heater control valve, since its not running hot -thermostat is okay

I've been messing around with it and I now get warm air not hot and the hose going into the coil is hot do you thing I can fluse and fix the problem or should I fuse the hold system and replace antifreeze
