heater problem

banging noise coming from under the dash...will not blow warm air only cold air....any ideas as to where i could start?

There is a door flap on the heater box located under the dash.
It is generally it is controlled by a cable. The cable comes off sometimes and the heater core flow cannot be directed to the interior and cold air comes with it.
Also check the fresh air recirculation door. It is cable actuated as well.
