2003 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I PUT A NEW BATTERY IN A WEEK AGO AND A FEW DAYS LATER THE CAR STARTED TO HESITATE AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS FLASHING. ANY RELATIONSHIP TO THE PROBLEM OR THIS IS A SEPARATE ISSUE.

No relation, separate issue. DO NOT DRIVE LIKE THIS!

The converter is probably getting too much fuel and damaging the cat. Also check your coolant level. Coolant will also kill a cat. The flashing is related to the converter in some sense.
