Is there any way to get the van to be 1 to 2 inches higher off the floor? It is very low and scratches the asphalte when I enter my steep driveway. Can changing the shocks do it?

If its just hitting the body you can put on a body lift.

Or if its hitting body and suspension you can put on a body lift and largler tires.

What kind of suspension you have in the front, coil springs? Struts? Same for the back.

THE SUSPENSION IN THE FRONT IS STRUTS AND IN THE BACK COILS. The Ford garage told me that I shouldn't put higher tires because it will mess up my transmission, what is your opinion on that?

Dependent on the size of the wheel you put on you may have the speedometer show a slower speed then what you are actually going at. But it wont mess up the trans as long as they are all the same size.
