2002 Ford Windstar tail lights stay on after car is turned

The tail lights and center brake light in rear window stay on after car is turned off How can i fix this problem?

Look at the brake pedal arm, find the stop light switch and replace it like this, it's about a 20.00 dollar part. STOPLIGHT SWITCH Removal & Installation Disconnect wire harness from connector. Remove self-locking pin. Remove spacer and remove the switch. See Fig. 50 . To install, reverse removal procedure. NOTE: Stoplight switch may also be referred to as Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch.
