I am buying this car and the cruise control doesn't work at all, a local mech with 40 plus years says no big problem, and the a/c has no freon in it, I worked on home a/c and a few cars. Is there a common problem with either? I know there has to be a leak, but no sight of any leaks is seen. I have also looked at the recall on the brake fluid leaks, and ther is none, completely dry. Any suggestions? The car is spotless outside, and only dirty carpets and everything else seems to wrk fine. It a 2002 LX Thanks Gary

Chances are the cruise control has something to do with either the switch itself, a loose wire, or speed sensor. Chances are it isn't a big deal.

As far as the freon, it could be leaking anywhere. There is no one common problem with them. The only thing you can do is recharge the system and see if you can find a leak. Keep in mind, AC parts can get expensive.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
PS: As far as the recall, it may have already been taken care of.
