No heater operation?

The heater in my van started making a banging sound whenever I turned on the car then the other day just stopped letting hot air out. The vent at the back still blows hot air but not the ones in the front. How can I fix this?

This banging noise is the blend door or another door in the housing that is moving when it shouldn't so it makes a thumbing noise.
