Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my car starts to shake when i accelarate or when it goes up a hill. In other words shakes on High gear. What is the cause of this problem and how can i repair it? I will really apreciate any ones help.

If it happens under a load, it sounds like an engine miss. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Vacuum leaks?

i did have the check engine light on but i repaired that by putting the'green'bolts instead of the black ones it had and the fuel pum is new.It shakes on high gear,or when it goes up a hill.

Based on your description, it sounds like either an engine missfire, lack of fuel pressure (could be a plugged filter), or the transmission actually slipping. When was the last tune up?

what do you mean the transmission is sliping? i did the tune up to the car&transmission.the fuel filter is recently replaced.some 1 told me it could b the timing but the timing is non-adjustable in my car( Ford Windstar 2001 LX 3.8 Engine 2x4 front wheel drive,automatic).what du you suggest. :)
