Our van has been sounding like it is trying to stall when stopped while in drive. If you feed it some gas it sometimes stops. It was mentioned the fuel pump might be going out - is this probably the case and if so what is the typical cost to have it replaced?

Could be faulty pump but first would look into a clogged fuel filter. It is much cheaper and easier to fix then the pump. It can cause these symptoms and should be part of regular maintenance (every 30k miles) anyway.
