I smell anti-freeze and vehicle smokes when I turn the heater on, however the temperature gauge does not go past normal.

Hi Jadell, I`m new to the forum but been a meachanic for 38 years, most of which I spent repairing big rigs (18 wheelers). You say your car smokes when you turn the heater on, I`m assuming inside the car. If so, sounds like you have a bad heater core. The location of the heater core is usually inside the car on the passenger side under the dash.I`ve never replaced one on a windstar before so I can`t go in to detail with you. I hope I have helped you. Good Luck with it Quick Draw. :D
