tail brake lights stay on

Check on the brake pedal arm, you will find the BOO switch, thats short for brake on off, pull the pedal back a bit, do the lights go out? if yes you may have just fixed it...if not unplug the connector, test the switch with a continuity tester, should be present only when switch is out, push the botton on the switch, test light or cont test show no power? If power is present no matter how the button is positioned, the switch must be replaced.
