2000 ford windstar V-6 3.6 L. Check engine light stays on codes say system to lean bank 1 and 2. First mechanic says its the O2 sensors, had the replaced same thing again then he says its the mass air flow sensor had that replaced still same thing. Mechanic is annoying me. What could this problem be and what can I do to fix it? Thank you

Did they pull the codes and just come up with "it needs blah, blah, blah" or did they actually troubleshoot it and perform tests to verify it?

See if they still have the old parts.

Can you get the code numbers that are currently in the system?

These windstars did have a main harness that ran along the firewall/engine area that had a rot problem and would throw codes such as yours. This doesn't mean it is the case for you, but it is a possiblility.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check rubber hoses and elbows for holes.
