Electrical problem
2000 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My van just stopped reading the signals from my keychain remotes, my batteries are good, but it just suddenly stopped working. Would this be the sensor in the van or possibly a blown fuse? Any good ideas?

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Verify customer concern. Check all fuses for appropriate system. Check Fuse Junction Box/Panel (FJB) fuses No. 14 and 16 (both 10-amp). Check Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuses No. 2 (10-amp) and No. 23 (15-amp). Check for damaged wiring harness and/or loose, corroded connections. Check for damage to Front Electronic Module (FEM), Rear Electronic Module (REM), door disarm switches, liftgate disarm switch, ignition switch and anti-theft horn. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If no problem is found, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM

PROGRAMMING
NOTE:All transmitters are programmable and must be set at the same time. Verify that the anti-theft system is not armed or triggered before programming transmitters.

PROGRAMMING REMOTE TRANSMITTERS
Cycle ignition switch from OFF to ON position 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in the ON position. All door locks should lock and unlock, indicating RKE module has successfully entered into programming mode.
Press any button of a remote transmitter, doors should lock and unlock. If doors lock and unlock, transmitter is programmed. Confirm each transmitter is programmed, go to next step. If doors locks do not respond to a transmitter, wait several seconds (less than 20 seconds) and press transmitter button again. If door locks respond, transmitter is now programmed. If door locks do not operate, see appropriate diagnostic procedures in SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. For diagnosis by symptoms, see SYMPTOM INDEX table in SYSTEMS TESTS.
After all remote transmitters have successfully been programmed, turn ignition switch to OFF position (or wait 20 seconds) to exit programming mode. If remote transmitters were programmed during this procedure, all doors locks will lock and unlock one last time to confirm.
