2000 Ford Windstar How to replace a window motor on passeng

Would like to replace a motor with out replacing the whole unit. Is this easy to do and does the window need to be up or down when replacing the motor.

Window up position

FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR
NOTE:Check interior of door, ensure front window regulator wiring is not in line with holes to be drilled into door inner panel.

WARNING:Window regulator motor has counterbalanced spring. Window must be in UP position to remove motor or blocked to prevent window from suddenly raising. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

Removal & Installation
Remove front door trim panel and water shield. Disconnect window regulator motor harness connector. Using 1/2-inch drill bit, drill out drill dimples located opposite of unexposed window regulator motor retaining screws. See Fig. 13 . Remove 3 bolts retaining window regulator motor to regulator and remove motor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
