2000 Ford Windstar brown muddy water

there is brown muddy water in the overflow tank of the radiator and when we first looked at this vechile to buy it the water overflow container only had about 1 cup of water in it and it was real brown i drove it and it never overheated i drove it about 10 miles but never even acted like it wanted to over heat what is the brown stuff could you please let me know

Hi there,

This is a mixture or old coolant, rust, sediment and general much in the cooling system, you need a to get this cooling system cleaned out and fresh coolant added.
