Electrical problem
2000 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have changed the battery and the alternator has been changed 2 times .the alt is putting out 13.6 volts
the amps at no load are 7.6 and under load it is 4.6 amps
according to the test i just had done. the test stated that the alt and battery were working correctly.
but the batt warning light is still on.
when the van is first started the light stays out for about 10-25 seconds then comes on
now when i remove the 3 wire connector at the alt then voltage jumps to 14v or so.
when i reconnect the wire the voltage3 output drops to 13.5 or 13.6
i then just disconnected the batt wire to the 3 prong connector and the voltage output went to 14.
i.m wondering if i could be having an issue with the pcm but I 'm not getting any engine code either
any help would be appreciated

Sounds like there's a problem with the PCM control of the field generation of the alternator
