1999 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Having problems locating speed sensor on our ford winstar 1999. I have search on tranmission and on the out put shaft housing. Can't find it wondering if it could have fallen off, any help in locating it would be much appreciated. Thanks

the turbin shaft speed sensor? should be on the top of the transaxle.
