I recently purchased 99' windstar, it had been sitting for several mo's . I drove for about 2 weeks, just around town and surrounding area,no more than 60 mi. a day. trans. operated fine. although one day the speedometer was eratic and o/d light was going on and off. but it stopped when it was restarted ( maybe another issue ). but then a couple of days ago trans. all of a sudden started slipping, fluid was only down 1/2 qt., I topped it off, still slipped. so I changed filter and fluid. does not seem to slip as bad, but still does. what next ?
