AUXILIARY A/C-HEATER UNIT
Removal
Disconnect battery ground cable. Drain engine coolant. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Support and raise vehicle. Position drain pan under heater hose connections. Disconnect heater hoses from auxiliary heater core pipes and drain coolant from auxiliary heater core.
Disconnect refrigerant lines. Lower vehicle. Remove right quarter trim panel. Remove rear side duct. Remove rear floor duct. Remove rear center duct. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector. Unplug wiring harness. Disconnect A/C-heater electrical connectors. Remove auxiliary A/C refrigerant line attaching screws. Remove A/C-heater unit attaching bolts and remove A/C-heater assembly.
Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure. Leak test, evacuate, and charge A/C system. Connect battery ground cable. Refill engine cooling system.
AUXILIARY BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Removal & Installation
Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove right rear quarter trim panel. Disconnect blower motor and wiring harness electrical connectors. Remove screws holding blower motor relay cover and remove cover. Remove vent tube. Remove blower motor attaching screws and remove blower motor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
AUXILIARY HEATER & EVAPORATOR CORES
Removal & Installation
Remove auxiliary A/C-heater unit. See AUXILIARY A/C-HEATER UNIT. Remove cover screws. Remove expansion valve attaching nut. Disconnect rear refrigerant line spring-lock coupling.
Remove evaporator core cover screws and remove cover. Remove evaporator core from housing. Remove expansion valve from core. To install, reverse removal procedure. Leak test, evacuate, and charge A/C system.
