1999 Ford Windstar OD light show

My OD flashes continously after about 45 mins of driving and stays on perpetually until the engine is turned off. During the process the car drags and moves with great difficulty. You'll have to wait for about an hour for the system to cool before normalcy is restored. And the process repeats itself after another about 45mins
