I WAS TOLD BY A MECHANIC THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE RACK AND PINION. THE JOB IS TO COSTLY . I WANT TO DO IT MYSELF. I USUALLY DO MOST OF THE WORK ON MY CARS. CAN YOU TELL ME, WILL THIS BE TOO DIFFICULT FOR ME , "A BACK YARD MECHANIC" TO DO?

to tell you the truth, unless you got a vehicle lift/hoist i wouldnt mess with it, its hard enough as is.
