The temperature control device failed and I replace it. It is now working fine, however, the air flow control which changes the various air vents has stopped working. I can't find anything in the Haynes manual. It was working before I replaced the temperature control device. The knob that usually controls the airflow direction will turn the blower motor off, but not control the direction.
The blower motor speed control is working, and all of air is going through the windshield defrost vent. Could this be a fuse. I am unable to locate the device that changes the airflow direction.

Actually, in this case you are looking for a vacuum leak. THe vent actuators are run by engine vacuum. My guess is when you were working on it, you bumped one of the vacuum lines and it fell off or broke. Check under the dash and recheck your work to see if you can find the problem. If you have the engine running, you may actually be able to hear a hissing sound from the leak to help you find it.

LEt me know if you have other questions.

Thank you so much for the help. The vacuum connector had fallen behind and under the front panel assembly structure. It was covered with a gray foam cover which looked like a piece of insulation. I was looking for an electrical connector, and I didn't recognize the vacuum plug-in on the back of the front panel controller.
Hooray! Its all working fine now!
