Transmission problem
1998 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 144 00 miles

Will the tranny from a 1996 windstar fit a 1998 windstar, both same engines, one with trac control, one without?

It should work. The traction control doest use the trans to operate, its all about throttle and brakes. Be sure all of the connectors are the same

Another FWD.. try calling a local salvage yard, they should have the entire list of what will cross-over.If the 8th digit of the vin# is the same I would think it would work
