1998 Ford Windstar Traction control off light flashing

The traction control off light,on the dash is flashing,what could be the problem, and will i do damage still driving it this way until i get it checked out.

Check for a fluid leak at the cruise control deactivation switch, its on the bottom front of the master cylinder, unplug it, and inspect for moisture. If wet dry the wires and install a new switch. Ford has a kit for this.
